In recent years, with the rise oftraditional Chinese mediane especially acupuncture boom around the world, acupuncture and moxibustion is getting more and more people's love and attention. Now it has become an out-put culture and spreads to the world. At present,by its unique theory system and significant clinical effect, acupuncture and moxibustion has been attracting an increasing number of overseas students coming to China to learn.For adapting to the urgent needs ofinternational acupuncture teaching, accelerating the process of acupuncture education internationalization and improving the teaching quality of overseas students, this textbook is directing at the learning characteristics and teaching needs of Chinese overseas learners with reference to the capital medical university international students education syllabus and referring to the related materials of national medical colleges. The writing of this book is demanded for insisting three basics which are basic theory, basic knowledge and basic skill as starting point. Also it is insisting five characters which are practicability, ideology, saentific, heuristic and conaseness as target. In line with three speciFic basic characteristics, including specific object,specific requirements and specific restrictions, this book is designed for using conase content and language, and also tries to handle the relationship between inheritance and innovation, tradition and modern, theory and practice, acupuncture and Western medicine. Moreover, we pay attention to highlight the characteristics of acupuncture and moxibustion saence and strive to clinical practice.
Based on the characteristics of overseas medical students learning acupuncture courses in China, this textbook is found of 7 chapters and contains meridian and channels,points, needling, moxibustion and treatment knowledge. From chapter 1 to chapter 5 are focusing on introduction, pandect and monographs of meridians and points, needling and moxibustion techniques. From chapter 6 to chapter 7 emphasize on introduang basic principles ofacupuncture treatment and clinical acupuncture treatment of some common diseases such as apoplexy, foaal parelysis, heada che, vertigo, in somnia, stomachache and hiccups et al. Every chapter includes objectives, key concepts, introduction, text, chapter summary, review questions, and references.
