本教材為快速閱讀系列叢書，主要包括比較短小的文章，難度程梯級狀，即4級以下/4級/6級。文中生詞主要列出重要的大綱詞匯。全書練習(xí)配有答案和簡要講解。每個級別有30篇文章，所選文章照顧各種體裁與題材。學(xué)生通過使用本教材，不僅能提高泛讀能力，對提高寫作能力也會有良好效果。本教材適合本科生使用，對有過4級要求的�？粕�，也是很好的泛讀材料。

秦泗武，山東五蓮人，2004年12月被聘為曲阜師范大學(xué)外語部教授、教研室主任、教授委員會成員、教學(xué)委員會成員、學(xué)術(shù)委員會成員。九三學(xué)社成員、中國翻譯工作者協(xié)會會員、綠盟成員（中國世界語協(xié)會會員）、兗州學(xué)院兼職教授。主要研究方向：翻譯、語言學(xué)與語言教學(xué)。共有六十多篇論文及譯文在中外各刊物上發(fā)表。完成了100多萬字的翻譯材料，特別擅長對外貿(mào)易談判與翻譯以及制藥、醫(yī)學(xué)的翻譯。1991年曾獲得校級優(yōu)秀教學(xué)成果獎。三次獲得省優(yōu)秀論文二等獎。著作有高等教育出版社出版的《語言學(xué)的新概念》（2007年），山東電子音像出版社出版的《語言學(xué)概念詮析》（2004年），2010年---2013年主編完成了華中科技大學(xué)出版社出版的*教材《大學(xué)藝術(shù)英語教程》（全套4冊）的編寫。《簡明英漢醫(yī)學(xué)辭典》主編之一、《實用英語語法》副主編。
