《英語文體學(xué)教程(第2版)》一書共分為四個部分,16章。第1部分包括第1至第5章,是對語言各個層次的文體突出特征的探討,包括這些特征出現(xiàn)在語言的哪些層次和級階中,是什么樣的突出特征,可以在語篇中產(chǎn)生什么文體效果等。其排列順序是從易到難,從熟悉到陌生,即第1章從真實(shí)語料和對語料的簡單分析中獲得對文體的感性認(rèn)識,然后到詞匯、語法、語義、語音、文字。 第二部分包括第5至第11章,是對實(shí)用文體的分析。語言的實(shí)用文體繁多,而且又有層次和功能的不同,所以我們無法對所有的實(shí)用文體進(jìn)行分析,而只能選擇有代表性的幾個類別作為分析對象。在本部分中,我們選擇了口語、新聞、國際商務(wù)、法律、科技和計(jì)算機(jī)和互聯(lián)網(wǎng)。 第三部分包括第12和第13章,是對文學(xué)文體的分析。本部分分別探討了小說和詩歌的文體特點(diǎn)。 第四部分是理論探討,包括第14章至第16章,探討文體和文體學(xué)的基本理論、所涉及的因素、理論框架和分析方法等,以及與其他相關(guān)理論之間的關(guān)系。 第14章談文體的定義、特點(diǎn)、所涉及的不同層次和不同方面的因素等;第15章講文體學(xué)的理論框架、分析模式、程序、方法等;第16章簡單介紹其他相關(guān)理論,以及與文體學(xué)的關(guān)系。
